Knoji - The Knowledge Network Formerly Known As Factoidz
For those of you who are already familiar with websites where writers can contribute articles and a revenue-sharing system is at place, you are probably already aware of the site called ‘Factoidz’. It’s a website where helpful and insightful knowledge is shared among experts and knowledge-seekers alike. The site has been recently rebranded and it is now known as ‘Knoji’. If you are already a writer who was been using Factoidz for a while now, Knoji will feel familiar as far as submitting articles is concerned. If you’re still not familiar with Knoji and its predecessor, let’s take a look at some of the most compelling elements of this sort of new knowledge network.
How It Works
Writers write about different topics and then they publish these articles on Knoji. An activity bonus is earned for most types of articles while special types of articles, specifically product reviews and product comparisons, earn writers upfront bonuses. Over time, these articles will earn some advertisement income and the amount will depend of how much Internet traffic it gets. The revenue is shared between writers and Knoji. Writers get their payment monthly via PayPal. This process was introduced in Factoidz and it remains to be the same in Knoji.
The Q&A System
Factoidz used to center around the article publishing part of the site, but Knoji puts equal focus to the Q&A system which is tightly integrated with the articles section of the site. Knoji has been designed to make it easier for site visitors to connect with the experts. Aside from getting to read informative articles about a range of topics, visitors can now efficiently ask for help from experts on different fields that include Business, Finance, Law, Internet, Technology, Science, Sports, and a host of others.
For now, the Q&A system has no direct impact on writers’ compensation on the site but the plan is to have it fully integrated into the payment system. This means pretty soon, how experts interact with other site users via the Q&A system will be as influential to the payment system as the article publishing part of the site is.
Redesign
Aside from the new name, Knoji also sports a more lively and colorful new design that aims to make navigation easier. Categories are now easier to find, giving site visitors a more efficient wat to finding the content they are looking for. This ease of use was also applied to user profiles. Profile pages for experts are now arranged to be easier to navigate. All articles written by an expert are displayed in a pretty stream that can be filtered by most number of comments, most number of votes and the number of times they were searched.
Benefits for Writers
The old payment system as well as article publishing and tracking system remains pretty much the same, making the transition for writers from Factoidz to Knoji as seamless as possible. Knoji, however, gives writers a brighter spotlight as they now get their very own personal URL using the Knoji domain.
All the statistics and article management tools in Factoidz, particularly in the Dashboard and the Buzzitup sections of the site, are still present in Knoji. The intuitive design of the new site gives both new and old writers a more comfortable experience in using the site, letting them focus more on actually producing content instead of aimlessly wandering throughout the knowledge network.
Conclusion
Knoji is pretty much a better and brighter version of Factoidz. It may take some time for old users to get used to the change but for the rest of the world, they now have a new place where they can ask experts about virtually any topic. As for writers and experts, they pretty much have the same system that pays but with better tools to help them earn from dispensing some righteous knowledge.
